Mathematics is a strong subject within the school and is taught both independently and whenever possible, across the curriculum. The school groups pupils according to ability, which enables effective differentiation and has proved to be very beneficial  as reflected in our year on year Key stage 2 Sats results.

In 2005 the school was in the top five percent of similar schools throughout the country.

We place a great deal lot emphasis on both a practical and problem solving approach and make good use of interactive whiteboards, which are installed in all classrooms, to enhance both teaching and learning.
